The electoral system in Malaysia has succeeded in maintaining universal harmony
Malaysia's voting system has been successful in sustaining national peace. Since Tungku Abd Rahman's tenure, elected authorities have been able to establish political stability. Previous leaders have also played an important role in ensuring the country's economy continues to grow. That is why Malaysia's voting system has been successful in sustaining global unity.
Furthermore, the presence of this voting system has allowed the country's leaders to build ties at the regional and international levels, the proudest of which Malaysia was elected a member of the United Nations Security Council in 1965, 1989, and 1999. Malaysia has been chosen to host international conferences such as the CHOGM, OIC, and NAM. This demonstrates that the people made the correct choice in electing a qualified leader through the election system. To this day, the country's peace and harmony can be preserved.
Moreover, this election has provided several chances for all individuals to exercise their rights as citizens. Without this election system, our country may encounter difficulties in choosing leaders capable of developing the country. If the people use their right to vote, our country is highly likely to create leaders with a people's spirit.
Aside from that, under this election system, individuals can vote for anyone they believe is deserving, regardless of race. If the people believe an Indian leader is qualified for the job, they can vote for him. This can demonstrate that our nation, Malaysia, can live in a harmonious environment where there is a notion of the Malaysian race that offers undivided devotion to the leaders of the country that they elect via elections.
Finally, as a Malaysian, I am conscious of the significance of this election system for global harmony. I also hope that the leaders who have been chosen via elections will be able to fulfil their responsibilities to keep the country in harmony so that it can continue to be wonderful and renowned. Aside from that, I hope that our nation will maintain this election system in order to ensure that the country's harmony is always under control.
